Business entrepreneur system
Project overview
The Business Entrepreneur System is aimed at organizations that want a means to efficiently manage their meetings and align their mission, vision, and goals.
My role as the sole UI designer in a multi-disciplinary team was to create a simple and intuitive interface that addressed our end-users’ needs using usability best-practices.

The problem
Currently South Africans is facing difficulties managing meetings and their company from a system based in the uk. To get access to this system a vpn connection should be applied on devices. To create flexibility and integration with our current system we need to build our own system.

Arriving at the solution
Engagement with core users helped us to get a clear understanding of their pain points, and to identify the key requirements for a solution that would, amongst other things:
Minimize manual data entry
Allow for the creation of cross-functional teams within the system
Track changes, without losing meta data and notes
Facilitate multi-user delegation and assignment management
Designing screens
After the information we gathered after the scoping meeting of the system we agreed on designing the following key features to solve the core problems
Dash board
Vision traction organizer
Accountability chart
Departments and positions
Meeting management
I knew a dashboard would be essential to highlight critical information for our users.
My meetings
Easy access to join meetings from dashboard and to view tasks that are required for that specific meeting.
My Work card
I decided to include interchangeable tabs for users to easily see their overdue work as well as what they have done and delegated.
The snack bar with all the action icons allows users to easily assign or delegate tasks to other users, see due dates and whether the task has been worked on.
The Calendar card will be integrated with Google and enables users to see their workflows all in one place.
I designed Reminders to notify users about to-dos and tasks and their all-important due dates.
Vision traction organizer
Vision
This section allows a business to add their core values, focus, business strategy, and vision - and to be able to track their implementation - their traction - across individual departments.
Traction
For ease-of-access, each department is represented by a tab, and may define their own custom goals that contribute to the overall company vision.
The accountability chart
What is it?
The Accountability Chart is a streamlined organizational tool that defines each person's role, responsibilities, and areas of accountability within the company. It ensures clarity, alignment, and accountability across all levels of the organization.
The design
Included a dedicated departments and position page accessible from the side navigation, along with the ability to create multiple accountability charts in a time-efficient way.
When adding information to the chart, it will be automatically updated throughout the system.
Edit department
By clicking on a department, users will be able to see and edit department information in the slide-up.
Edit position
A manger may assign multiple users to a position (role) in the accountability chart, and selectively provide the ability to see and edit information on that position.
“Amazing to know I am able to create multiple charts without
specifying information each time of creating a new chart.”
How might we create smaller working teams within departments in a way that allows for collaboration with other departments?
I am currently also developing a dedicated teams page to simplify the creation of cross-functional teams within and across departments. This prevents confusion by separating team management from main department sections.
Departments and positions
How I designed the departments and position page
This section offers a step-by-step flow that guides a user through the process of creating a department profile, and adding multiple positions and other relevant information.
I designed it this way for managers to easily switch between position tabs and on each tab managers will be able to assign multiple users to a position.
Meeting management
Components
In addition to the key screens outlined above, I created UI components that can be reused across the entire project, ensuring consistency and a speedy implementation for the developers.
Normal
By clicking on a department, users will be able to see and edit department information in the slide-up.
Selected
A manger may assign multiple users to a position (role) in the accountability chart, and selectively provide the ability to see and edit information on that position.
Snack bar can be changed to fit different instances
Filled field
I have used filled form fields to indicate to user the field can be edited an information can be filled in
Outlined field
The outlined filed is use to show users it is static unchangeable information
Focused field
When a field is clicked it will have dark blue text with a lighter blue background

End goal
The system is currently in an iterative development cycle, and I will continue to evolve the design and components as new user information and business requirements come to light.
To ensure the design make the meeting management process much easier and that they understand the system.
To ensure the design allows all people in the business to be updated with all the new relevant information
